current theme song: "i hate everyone" by get set go
(i swear, it's a great song)
i have a problem. i start reading way too many books at one time. i have a stack by my bed that i'm perpetually reading and even though it's great to have "variety," i hate the feeling that i can't even finish one book. so today i put away all the books that i'm not at least 1/4 of the way through. that left me with two. and i can now proudly say i finished one of them tonight. and let me tell you about it...
THE PROPER CARE AND FEEDING OF HUSBANDS
by everyone's favourite author
dr. laura schlessinger
let me just say a couple things:
1. dr. laura is kind of, like... perfect. really though. her book adequately explains why women are awful (and by women i mean all females EXCEPT for dr. laura) and don't deserve to breathe.
2. dr. laura is kind of, like... right.
(side note: blake is listening to the CREEPIEST video on youtube. all you hear is some old hag laughing, "hee hee hee hee hee hee hee hee hee" over and over and over and over...)
by right, i mean this book made me feel like the most awful woman who shouldn't be allowed to breathe. on a more positive note, i think it has opened my eyes to the idea that once you get married, it isn't all about YOU anymore. it's kind of about you TWO. i'm sure all you veteran wives are laughing thinking, "oh, silly courtney. she's still stuck in the 'me' stage. i was past that stage by the third week of my marriage." yeah, yeah, yeah. we can't all be perfect. but we can try. and that's what i intend to do.
so today isn't going to have a picture taken by me. it is a picture i stole off the internet (but for good reason). but it is to remind all you women/wives/girlfriends out there to remember the (wise) words of dr. L and treat your man like the hero you know him to be. until tomorrow...

So I have had a lot of people recommend this book to me... maybe they are trying to tell me something. So after I read this post, I jumped on Amazon and purchased a copy! I'm anxious to read it...! We'll discuss it once I've finished!
